One night stand…

Out at Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park north of Whitecourt for a night of camping with my buddy. We got out there about 2pm and the temperature was about -5c. We had about a 500 metre hike into the site we chose. There were lots of ice fishermen around the lake and we took a walk out to see what was being caught. One had a pail of 5 nice sized rainbow trout, the largest being about 3lbs.

The evening went well, we did a bit of snowshoeing around after dinner then it the hammocks about 9pm. The overnight temperature only went to -7c so it stayed pretty nice by northern Alberta standards. It was a great place to test and try out our gear!

Thanks for watching the video evidence…
